Insulating material based on cheap, natural raw materials - by moulding a mixt.of structural polysaccharide, waste paper, lignin sulphonate and normal additives as required

An insulating material (I) contains (a) structural polysaccharides, (b) waste paper or paper rubbish, (c) lignin sulphonate and (d) other conventional additives as required. Also claimed is a process for the prodn. of (I), by mixing (a) with (b) spraying an aq. soln. of (c) onto the mixt. and allowing it to harden in a mould without applying heat or pressure. USE/ADVANTAGE - Used as an insulating and isolating material for building applications, etc. (I) is a cheap, low-density insulating material made of environmentally harmless components based on natural raw materials.
