<p>Described is a UV-curing flexographic printing ink comprising, based on the weight: a) 1 to 30% of pigment and/or dyes, b) as cationic photoinhibitor 1 to 15% of triarylsulphonium salts, c) 0.5 to 20% of a polyhydroxy functional component consisting of a hydroxy functional silicone and cellulose acetobutyrate, d) up to 10% of additives from the group consisting of waxes, slip additives, antifoams, deaerators, flow control agents, wetting agents and dispersants and also optionally further additives in the stated amount, and e) to 100% of a cationically curable component based on a cycloaliphatic diepoxide and a homo- or copolymer of glycidyl (meth)acrylate and also optionally a reactive diluent based on a low viscosity epoxy resin. The invention further provides a process for preparing said UV flexographic printing ink by mixing the individual constituents of the ink until uniformly and completely dispersed. The invention is also directed to the use of said inks in flexographic printing presses.</p> |
