On a textile machine which is working with yarn, dust, tint and fly is created, which is drawn away by suction into a container. A filter arrangement is in the container. By means of a double filter screen arranged in a specified manner, the turbulence created prevents the debris settling, and air passes continuously through the extraction chamber without choking the filters. Pref. typically the suction around the working parts of the machine is drawn into the filter chamber (20) through the ducting (19). The suction is created by a motor driven rotary extractor fan at the front of the chamber housing (37). Behind it is the first filter screen (30), which is not taken completely across the chamber. It is angled back by the second screen (35), which crosses to the back wall. In this wall there is a trap which may be unfastened and removed to take out the debris which has accumulated. ADVANTAGE - The air circulation continues until the container is full, efficiency improves, and debris does not impair the working of the machine, which may cause faults in the yarn.
