The walls for a building may incorporate large prefab. wall elements which may include several window apertures. The ends of the wall elements (1) have flanges forming rectangular section grooves (5) which may accommodate square or rectangular sealing elements (12). The ends of the wall elements and the ends of the flanges on adjacent wall elements butt together when the building is assembled forming narrow gaps (7) filled and sealed by narrow circular section sealing elements (11).
