Mechanical properties of soft biological tissue, e.g. skin, are measured and mass transport and transport of applied substances are quantified by a measuring head (1) comprising a prestressing device (2) to apply a defined pressure and a twisting rod (5) which applies a dynamic torque or angle to the tissue. The head is applied by suction. USE/ADVANTAGE - Determining effects of cosmetics, pharmaceuticals etc. Allows measurement in situ.
