摘要 Device for producing deuterons (D+) and mixts. of D+ with Xe in mol. disperse form in conjunction with the possibility of energy removal and prod. sepn. is claimed. The process comprises (1) electrolysis of heavy water (D20) or ionisation of D2 or another prepn. of D+ in the nascent state; (2) mixing this stream with Xe and reacting the mixt. to He; (3) removing the resultant enthalpy (e.g. heat enthalpy) by vaporising water or heating graphite or another material or in another form; and (4) sepg. the Xe, He and coolant from the prod. gas and recycling to the process (possibly with different compsn. Pref. the individual stages are carried out in separate appts. A catalyst other than Xe, e.g. may be used. ADVANTAGE - Fusion of D+ to He is catalysed by Xe and can be controlled. The energy output in the fusion stage is a factor of 107 greater than that from chemical explosives.
