A tamper-evident facility on a two part moulded container dispensing closure 10 is provided by an integrally moulded element (23) linked to a cap part 12 of the closure 10 by at least one frangible bridge 22 and secured in a recess 21 in the skirt of the cap part by engagement of a hook 24 trapped between a skirt 14 of the body part 11 of the closure and a container 35, eg toothpaste tube, to which the closure is secured. The hook has a pivot point about which the element 23 will rock when bridge 22 has been broken, the hook having a flat region which will hold the element out of the access in a tamper evident position, (Figure 3). The hook may be frangible for removal of the entire element. The two closure parts 11 and 12 are hinged together, preferably by an integral film hinge 13, and a cantilever arm 17 mounted on the body part may be engaged by at least one tongue 26 provided on the cap part to snap into the open (Figure 1) and closed positions. <IMAGE> |
