Heat exchanger with plug connection between tube base and plastics water tank - has toothing and tongue and groove-type connection between engaging flange and channel

The plug connection (3) has a toothing (17) between a flange (8) and a channel (6) in the tank. The toothing engages at right angles to its longitudinal direction. The outer wall (14) of the channel has inward directed comb-like ribs. These engage into corresp. pockets of the flange. The flange has a sealing groove (9) and an additional holder groove (10) parallel to it. A nose rail (11) in the inner wall of the channel engages into this groove. The outer channel wall is formed as a locking element (15). It consists of a circumferential clamp ring, extending around the plug connection. USE/ADVANTAGE - Heat exchanger with plug connection between tube base and plastics water tank is simple and economical to mfr. Tube base and tank are directly connected without extra sealing devices, to give fluid-proof connection.
