发明名称 CONTROL OF GAS PHASE OR LIQUID PHASE REACTION USING EXCITED STATE OF CARBON SOOT MOLECULE AND ORGANOMETALLIC COMPLEX AND APPARATUS THEREFOR
摘要 PURPOSE:To decompose harmful substances by generating active oxygen from an oxygen-containing gas in the presence of one or more kinds of substances selected from an each excited carbon soot molecule, metal porphyrin complex and metal phthalocyanine complex and reacting the resultant active oxygen with a harmful gas or a harmful substance solution. CONSTITUTION:A harmful gas is taken in through a harmful gas inlet 18 and mixed with a mixed gas of an oxygen-containing gas such as oxygen gas or air taken in through a gas inlet 19 and an inert gas in a gas mixing unit 20 so as to efficiently proceed with the decomposition reaction according to its composition. The mixed gas is then taken through a mixed gas inlet part 21 of a vessel 8 into the vessel and allowed to flow on the surface of a solidified-carbon soot molecule (e.g. spherical-shell shaped furalen molecule) film 7 on a polyimide film 6. At that time, if a light source unit 9 emitting light having 200 to 600nm wavelength is lighten by an electric power source 10, the carbon soot molecule is excited and reacted with oxygen in the harmful gas to generate singlet oxygen atoms. Harmful substances contained in the harmful gas are reacted with the generated singlet oxygens, decomposed and discharged through an outlet 12.
