FINE NOZZLE REFRACTORIES FOR CONTINUOUS CASTING

PURPOSE:To provide the excellent fine nozzle refractories for continuous casting which simultaneously satisfy high mechanical strength and thermal impact resistance. CONSTITUTION:The fine nozzle refractories for continuous casting consist of 12 to 60wt.% self-sinterable meso carbon microbeads contg. 5 to 10% volatile component and the balance refractory raw materials exclusive of carbonaceous raw materials. The grain sizes of both the self-sinterable meso carbon microbeads and the refractory raw materials are <=100mum.
