PURPOSE:To provide a method for sterilizing an article to be treated such as a food in which the presence of a microorganism, etc., having heat resistance is estimated. CONSTITUTION:An article to be treated is subjected to pressurizing treatment at <=100 deg.C under <2000atm pressure, then heating treatment at <=55 deg.C temperature under ordinary pressure and further heat-treated at <=100 deg.C temperature under ordinary pressure. Furthermore, the article to be treated is subjected to pressurizing treatment at <=100 deg.C under <2000atm pressure, then heated at <=55 deg.C under ordinary pressure and further subjected to pressurizing treatment at <=100 deg.C under <2000atm pressure. Thereby, the quality of the article to be treated is hardly affected by heating and a microorganism, contained in the article to be treated and having the heat resistance can nearly be killed. |
