PURPOSE:To provide a new diterpene alkaloid and its salt useful as a treating agent for cardiopathy such as myocardial infarction and stenocardia. CONSTITUTION:The diterpene alkaloid of formula I [R1 is COCH(CH3)2, COCH (CH3)CH2CH3 or group of formula II], its pharmacologically permissible salt, the diterpene alkaloid of formula III (R2 is COCH3 or H) and its pharmacologically permissible salt, e.g. 2alpha-acetyloxy-3alpha-(2-methylbutyryloxy)-21- methyl-6,21-secohetisane-6,13-dione. The compound of formula I and formula II can be produced e.g. by dissolving KOKUSHINKAI (rhizome of Aconitum contorum) in a solvent to obtain an extract liquid and subjecting the extract to the column chromatography treatment several times. |
