ENGINE OIL DETERIORATION JUDGMENT DEVICE

PURPOSE:To positively notice an exchanging time of engine oil to a user by providing an oil deterioration sensor inside a circulation oil passage of a lubricating device of an internal combustion engine, in which the circulation oil passage is provided for supplying the engine oil to a crank chamber and a rocker chamber. CONSTITUTION:A lube oil supply passage 16 is provided for circulatingly supplying engine oil to a crank chamber 12 in which a crank shaft 19 is assembled and to a rocker chamber 18 in which a rocker arm is assembled. An oil deterioration sensor 31 composed of positive and negative electrodes are arranged in the lube oil supply passage 16, and a constant value of voltage is applied to engine oil between the electrodes. An electronic control unit 30 judges deterioration of the engine oil when a current value supplied to the oil deterioration sensor 31 is less than a specified value by increase of electric resistance together with deterioration of the engine oil. Exchanging time of the engine oil can be positively noticed to a user, accordingly.
