PRODUCTION OF ALKYLSILANE

PURPOSE:To obtain a method for producing an alkylsilane in which the alkylsilane can be obtained in high yield. CONSTITUTION:The objective method for producing an alkylsilane is characterized by irradiating a platinum-based catalyst with ultraviolet rays before starting reaction in a method for subjecting a substituted or an unsubstituted unsaturated hydrocarbon and a hydrosilane to the hydrosilylating reaction in the presence of the platinum-based catalyst. An unsaturated cyclic hydrocarbon is preferably used as the unsaturated hydrocarbon. The irradiation of the platinum-based catalyst with the ultraviolet rays is preferably carried out in the presence of the hydrosilane and/or the unsaturated hydrocarbon. Thereby, the objective alkylsilane can be obtained in high yield by the reaction at a relatively low temperature according to the above method.
