CARTRIDGING OF EXPLOSIVES

摘要

A method and apparatus is provided for charging a cartridge casing with cap-sensitive, water-in-oil emulsion explosives. A non-cap-sensitive emulsion explosive is injected through a nozzle into the cartridge while a chemical gassing solution is simultaneously added to the explosive in the nozzle. The resulting explosive comprises a gassed cap-sensitive explosive in the casing. The method provides for improved safety since only non-cap-sensitive compositions are subjected to large volume handling.
