PURPOSE:To improve the precision in the knocking detection, as for an internal combustion engine which selectively operates two superchargers according to the engine operation condition. CONSTITUTION:The twin supercharge state where two superchargers are operated at the same time and the single supercharge state where only one between two superchargers is operated are selection-controlled according to the operation condition. One supercharge state between the twin supercharge and the single supercharge is judged (S3), and each judgement level TSL, SSL in the knocking detection is individually set (S4, S5). The judgement level TSL, SSL and the detection level by a knock sensor are compared, and the existence of the generation of knocking is judged (S10), and the ignition timing is calculated on the basis of the result of the judgement (S11). |
