<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an occlusion material having a high gas occlusion capacity even at the time of containing a smaller amount of an alkali metal by using the material represented by a specific general formula. CONSTITUTION:The occlusion material is represented by the composition formula CxMy (wherein C is a carbon atom and a constituent of fullerene; M is an alkali metal; x is a 28 to 1000 integer; y is 0.01x to 0.15x). The fullerene has the three dimensional structure having a void in the center. The fullerenes include C60, C70, C76, C78, C82, C84, C90, C96, C102, C106, C110, etc., and the alkali metals include sodium, potassium, etc. The occlusion material is obtained by treating the fullerene with the alkali metal. This occlusion material has the high gas occlusion capacity for ammonia, etc. even at the time of containing a smaller amount of the alkali metal as the minor component.</p> |
