<p>PURPOSE:To execute back washing with low energy by specifying the characteristics, voids, etc., of porous materials constituting the packed bed of the device which diffuses an oxygen-contg. gas in the packed bed to obtain an aerobic state and treating the pollutant in sewage. CONSTITUTION:The purification treatment device for the org. sewage, such as sewage and waste industrial water, has a treatment tank 5 to which the sewage 2 in a sewage tank 1 is forcibly fed by a pump 3. The packed bed 11 packed with packing materials 12 consisting of the porous materials is internally maintained in the aerobic state by the air discharged from a blower 32 and diffused from an air diffuser 31 via an air lead pipe 33. The pollutant is treated by passing the sewage into this packed bed 11. Materials having 35 to 45% porosity, 1.4 to 2.1sp. gr. and 10000 to 100,000cm<2>/g specific surface area are used as the porous materials. The voids of the packed bed 11 are set in a 15 to 30% range. The washing of the packed bed 11 is executed at the point of the time the increase component of the water passage resistance value by the passage of the sewage attains 0.5 to 0.7m-Aq.</p> |
