<p>PURPOSE:To reduce a measured error by measuring the length of a rolled stock at two pass in a cross rolling, estimating the measured error of the plate thickness based on the result and reflecting the estimated error to the control of the plate thickness after the cross rolling. CONSTITUTION:After a slab material 10 is formed, the rolling direction is changed by 90 deg. to roll the width. The length is measured at a measuring position 1, width rolling reduction is corrected at a mark (A) and this is performed at least two times. After cross rolling is completed, the direction is changed again by 90 deg. and finish rolling is executed. A target plate thickness is decided by a measured initial length to execute rolling but the rolled plate thickness contains a measured error. Therefore, the plate length is measured for the 2nd time, a measured error of the plate thickness is estimated by a measured data at that time, the target plate thickness in the final pass of the cross rolling is decided to control the plate thickness. In this way, the plate width error is reduced and the yield is improved.</p> |
