<p>PURPOSE:To regenerate filter media by providing the filter media in inflow chambers into which water is introduced from a water area and out of which the water is led to a treatment space, thereby preventing the inflow of living things, such as seashells into the treatment space and providing the several inflow chambers which can be alternately closed. CONSTITUTION:This purification structure 11 is of a water channel type installed in the sea area and, for example, the leading out part 18 and introducing part 19 of the first inflow chamber 13 thereof are held closed and the introducing part 22 of the second inflow chamber 15 and the leading out part 21 of a communicating path 14 are held open. As a result, the sea water is made to flow into the second inflow chamber 15 from the water area A by tidal energy, etc., and the seashells, etc., are captured by the filter media in the chamber 15. The filtered sea water is introduced through the communicating path 14 to the treatment chamber 12 and is brought into contact with contact materials 16... onto which biomembranes stick. The sea water is thus purified by the oxidation decomposition of the org. matter by the biomembranes. The internal aerobic micoroorganisms, etc., are killed in the inflow chamber 13 during this time, as the chamber 13 is held closed. The filter media in the chamber 13 is thereby regenerated.</p> |
