PURPOSE: To provide a rack for supporting an object at an accurate position so as to taken out in automated equipment and a device and a method for assembling such a rack. CONSTITUTION: This rack for supporting and accurately positioning the rolls 16 of a web material is provided with a base member 10 having an upper surface 12 on which a plurality of supporting members 14 are attached by a plurality of individually removable brackets 34 and the supporting members are engaged with end parts 24 extended in an axial direction of the cores 18 of the rolls. The number of the plurality of supporting members is one larger than the number of the objects, they are respectively provided with an upper end and a lower end and the respective upper ends are provided with a means 32 for supporting one of the end parts of one of the objects or one of the respective end parts of the adjacent pair of the objects in the state where the axes of the plurality of objects are on the same straight line.
