PURPOSE:To provide the inexpensive air cleaner which enables suction on two planes. CONSTITUTION:The two air cleaning elements 3 of the constitution consisting of a twin-shaft type motor 8, two centrifugal type fans 9, a partition plate 10 supporting the motor 8, a pair of fan covers 1, a front cover 1 and a rear cover 2 are respectively set in the front cover 1 and the rear cover 2. As a result, the air is sucked respectively from the two air cleaning elements 3 of the front cover 1 and the rear cover 2 and the efficiency is good. The air cleaning elements 3 are an electret filter 3A and a honeycomb-shaped active carbon fiber filter 3B and, therefore, the air permeation resistance is small and a larger air quantity is taken. The front cover 1 and the rear cover 2 are formed to a face-to-face mating type and are constructed to hold the partition plate 10, the fan cover 11, a suction sound blow-off port 4 and a switch therein and, therefore, the production and assembly of molds are easy. |
