PURPOSE:To provide a laser processing method and a device for the same by which a good filling-up rate is obtained with a low carbonizing rate when it is required that the opening of a hollow yarn made of a resin is filled up while a bundle of a lot of the hollow yarn made of the resin is given laser processing and cutting. CONSTITUTION:When a bundle 4 of a lot of hollow yarn made of a resin is cut with laser beams 1 from the direction intersecting perpendicularly to the longitudinal direction and the opening of the each hollow yarn 3 is filled up, a beam system of the laser, kinds of assist gases 6 and their blowing pressure and the relative transfer velocity between the laser beams 1 and the bundle 4 of hollow yarn are adjusted. Each operating factor is properly adjusted and while the bundle is cut, the opening of each hollow yarn made of the resin is filled up, causing a good filling-up rate with low carbonizing rate to be obtained for each hollow yarn made of the resin 3. |
