MANUFACTURE OF FIBER REINFORCED THERMOPLASTIC RESIN HOLLOW BODY

PURPOSE:To provide a method for manufacturing a hollow body for frame of tennis racket wherein excellent composite state of reinforced fiber and thermoplastic resin can be obtained easily. CONSTITUTION:A method for manufacturing a hollow body comprises a process for obtaining an intermediate base material by winding multi-filament yarn of carbon fiber covered with nylon resin around a fluoroplastic tube, a process for arranging the intermediate base material in a mold having a cavity with a predetermined shape, and a process which pressurizes the inside of the tube and heats the mold to a desired temperature so as to melt the nylon resin for impregnating the multi-filament yarn with it.
