PURPOSE: To provide a high dynamic strength or fatigue resistance between a reinforcing bar and a sleeve. CONSTITUTION: A sleeve 10 comprises a thick-wall central part 24 and circular opening parts 33 and 34. The circular opening parts 33 and 34 move in axial direction relative to the thick-wall central part 24 when bars 12 and 14 elongate or shrink under a periodical tension load. By grooves 28, 29, 35, and 36 arranged on the coupler sleeve 10, the elongations, etc., of the sleeve 10 and bars 12 and 14 are coordinated. The central part 24 of the coupler sleeve 10 is connected to end parts 30 and 31 having uniform and less diameter through intermediate slopes 26 and 27, so a stress is relaxed at the end part of the heavy central part 24. |
