PURPOSE: To provide a thermosensitive recording material showing high heat sensitivity and reliable grease/plasticizer resistance by forming a heat-sensitive color developing layer containing a specific bisphenol carboxylic acid and a basic compound on a support. CONSTITUTION: A modified bisphenol carboxylic acid represented by the formula (wherein, R1 is a 1-5C alkoxy group, a 1-6C alkyl group, a 3-6C cycloalkyl group and a 3-6C phenyl group; R2 is H, a 1-6C alkyl group and a 1-6C phenyl group; R3 is a 1-5C alkylene group; m is 1 or 2; and n is 0.1 or 2.) and at least one basic compound are mixed to prepare a color forming agent dispersion and a developing agent dispersion. These dispersions are applied on a plastic sheet or paper using a doctor knife and then are dried to laminate a heat- sensitive color developing layer to obtain a heat-sensitive recording material. In detail, the basic compound is a hydroxide, an oxide, a carbonate of magnesium, zinc or the like. |
