PURPOSE:To inhibit the unnecessary expansion of air bag by providing an ignition signal output means for outputting the ignition signal to an air bag at a position decided on the basis of the deduced collision direction, and providing an ignition inhibit means for inhibiting the ignition of air bags at other positions. CONSTITUTION:When a collision sensor A detects a collision and a collision direction deducing means B deduces that the collision is happened in the front side, the ignition signal is output from an ignition signal output means C to a front projecting air bag, and an ignition inhibit means D inhibits the ignition of both side projecting air bags in right and left. When the collision sensor A detects a collision and the collision direction deducing means B deduces that the collision has happened in one side, the ignition signal is output from the ignition signal output means C to one side projecting air bag, and the ignition inhibit means D inhibits the ignition of the other side projecting air bag and the front projecting air bag.
