<p>PURPOSE: To improve the fire resistance of a device by providing a layer of a fabric consisting of fire-resistant fibers impregnated with an intumescent flame-proofing compound on the surface of a flexible body directly facing fire, and imparting porosity which allows vapor to pass through the fabric under the influence of fire. CONSTITUTION: A flexible body A3 contains 100 parts by weight of a silicone elastomer binder, 7 parts by weight of TiO2 (fire-proofing reinforced filler), 110 parts by weight of tri-sodium phosphate containing 12 water molecules, and 10 parts by weight of a catalyst for the elastomer binder. Next, the main body A3 has its surface enclosed by a winding body E3 of a fabric consisting of organic fibers which can be carbonized and have been oxidized, and has a longitudinally long slit F3 formed therein. Then, a hard and expanded shell for maintaining an endothermic material of the main body 3A as an under layer is formed by the winding body E3 impregnated with an intumescent flame- proofing compound, whereby vapor generated from the main body A3 is released. Thus, the intumescent flame-proofing compound is coupled onto the main body A3, the conformity is maintained, and the fire resistance can be enhanced.</p> |
