PURPOSE:To reduce time necessary for carrying-in and -out and improve storage efficiency by controlling the storage capacity and weight of a box pallet to be carried in and out automatically without depending upon a worker's visual observation and judgment. CONSTITUTION:A computer 12 which delivers and receives carrying-in/-out data through the controller 11 and the optical communication devices 11a, 12a of a crane 5 is installed at a separate place from racks 3a, 3b. In the computer 12, the volume and the weight of a single one of all articles which are stored in all box pallets to be stored in a storage part 2 are registered for each of the articles. Based on both of the registered volume and weight, the total volume and weight of the articles stored in the respective box pallets are computed to indicate the computed results, and the volume and the allowable installation weight of the box pallet on CRT of the computer 12. |
