<p>PURPOSE: To well separate a paper sheet from a press fabric by composing a transfer belt for transferring a web from a first transfer point to a second transfer point in a closed draw of a reinforced base having a specific polymer coating. CONSTITUTION: This transfer belt 60 for transferring a web from a first press nip to a second press nip in a closed draw is composed of a reinforced base 62 and a polymer coating 80 on the paper side. The polymer coating 80 has a hardness within the range of Shore A 50 to Shore A 90 and a pressure- responsive and recoverable degree of roughness. Furthermore, the polymer coating has an uncompressed roughness within the range of 2 to 80μm Rz , is compressed to 0 to 20μm Rz when the transfer belt is in the press nip and returns to a substantially uncompressed roughness thereof after exit from the press nip.</p> |
