CONSTITUTION:First of all, with respect to three-dimensional data, a voxel on each sight line looked at from a certain direction is projected to each projection point on the projection surface (203). Subsequently, a processing for dividing the inside on the projection surface into every area is executed, and a processing for discriminating whether its area is a blood vessel or a background and extracting the blood vessel is executed (204). This series of processings are executed several times from a different direction, and a processing for unifying blood vessel areas extracted from each direction by O R on two dimensions or three dimensions is executed (206). In order to contain the voxel of the blood vessel in this three-dimensional blood vessel data, an extension processing is executed (209). By executing this processing, the extracted blood vessel is provided with a volume, and also, an edge is varied smoothly, and the extracted blood vessel three-dimensional data can be obtained more exactly.
