PURPOSE:To prevent generation of wheel spanning, especially at the starting time of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION:An accelerating pedal 41 is operated to the maximum operation position so as to abruptly start a car from a condition that a transmission ratio is zero during stoppage of the vehicle, within a reference transmission ratio range. At this time, an engine speed is speedily increased in accordance with operation speed of the accelerating pedal 41. Eccentric speed of a pintle 32 is suppressed low until the transmission ratio reaches an upper limit of RF3 of the reference transmission ratio range, even in case that the accelerating pedal 41 is instantaneously operated to the maximum operation position. Torque is not abruptly transmitted to driving wheels 7, accordingly. |
