A stable complex compound with fungicidal properties consists of 2,4,5-trichlorophenol and either tri-isobutylphosphate or normal tributyl phosphate associated together in substantially equimolecular proportions. The reactants may be mixed together or distilled under a vacuum of about 0.01 in Hg at a temperature of between 94 DEG C. and 103 DEG C. In the example, 40 to 50 parts by weight of 2,4,5-trichlorophenol are mixed with 50 to 60 parts by weight of tri-isobutyl phosphate and then dissolved in an aqueous alcoholic solvent. The complex is formulated into fungicidal compositions for treating human and animal mycoses.ALSO:A fungicidal composition for treating human and animal mycoses comprises a complex of 2,4,5-trichlorophenol and tri-isobutyl phosphate or normal tributyl phosphate (see Division C2) and a non-toxic liquid or solid diluent or carrier e.g. salve or powder. The active material comprises 0.01 to 0.5% by weight of the composition.
