PURPOSE:To generate a rhythm sound which is rich in variation with a small number of data. CONSTITUTION:In setting mode, timbre name data are written in the high-order side of a 1st setting register by operating a timbre selection switch 8 and the pattern number of the rhythm sound is written in the low-order side of the register by operating a pattern number selection switch 8 and displayed 10. Similarly, the contents of 2nd-4th setting registers are specified. Thus, the rhythm sound name and sound generation timing pattern are separately specified and stored in the respective setting registers and then information on a rhythm pattern consisting of two kinds of data in combination is read out at constant intervals of time to generate the rhythm sound. Therefore, necessary rhythm patterns need not be stored independently by rhythm timbres and the storage capacity of a ROM is reducible. |
