PURPOSE:To provide the plane light source in simple structure which provides uniform high luminance light emission by positioning grating-shaped control electrodes according to the Paschen's low. CONSTITUTION:The grating-shaped control electrodes 7 are positioned and arranged in the flat sealed space between a front panel 1 and a back panel 3 by using the Pachen rule to section and form a plasma discharge area 8 and an electron beam acceleration area 9 in the same sealed space; and electrons are taken out of the plasma discharge area 8 to excite a fluorescent film 2 on the front panel 1 for light emission, thereby obtaining the high-brightness uniform light emission. |
