PURPOSE:To produce a uniform phase-difference film which is not colored or unevenly colored when incorporated in a liq. crystal display, etc. CONSTITUTION:A polysulfone resin film (p) is drawn by a tenter uniaxial drawing machine to produce a phase-difference film. When the glass transition temp. of the film (p) is denoted by Tg, the drawing temp. by T, the drawing magnification by (a) and the open angle of tenterclip 1 by, (Tg-20 deg.C)<=T<=(Tg+30 deg.C), 1.0<a<=3.0 and 0 deg.<theta<=10 deg.. Since the film is drawn under these conditions, a uniform phase-difference film having a uniform drawing axis is produced without lowering the phasedifference compensating performance (retardation value). |
