<p>PURPOSE:To detect the life of a flash memory in a semiconductor storage device using the flash memory. CONSTITUTION:Data erasing instruction from a memory controller 5 to a flash memory 4 is detected by monitoring an address bus 6, a data bus 7 and a control signal 8 between the memory controller 5 and the flash memory 4. After the erasing instruction, the erasure of data on the flash memory 4 is detected. The time from the erasing instruction the completion of data erasure on the flash memory 4 is measured. As a result, the life of the flash memory is recognized at an early stage.</p> |
