The seed is dispersed after being mixed into a gelatinous gel, which is easily spread into the base of the required furrow, by means of a flexible bottle with a tubular outlet, a syringe, or any other device allowing the uniform application of the gel. The gel has secondary characteristics, which can be of benefit to the germinating and growing plant. It is water retentive. It takes the form of a powder which can be mixed evenly with the seed, before the water is added to turn it into the gelatinous form. It can contain products mixed in with it, which can give forms of protection to the plant. Finally it is biodegradable. USE/ADVANTAGE - It enables seeds, particularly smaller seeds to be sown uniformly and evenly in the ground. |
