PURPOSE:To resolve the problem of abrasion of a guide base lock surface at the time of moving a guide base of the tape loading mechanism and to enable a guide pole in a loading completion position to be under the state of its accurate posture. CONSTITUTION:A tape is loaded and unloaded onto and from a rotary head drum by making the guide base 10 erected with guide posts 6 and 8 movable along a guide groove 14 on a chassis by a loading arm. Sliding guide parts 19 are provided to be projectively upheaved higher than the lock surface 16 of the guide base 10 on both of right and left side peripheral parts of the guide groove 14, and the guide base 10 is moved in sliding with its back surface on these sliding guide parts 19.
