MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND RECEIVING EQUIPMENT TO BE USED FOR THE SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption of a mobile terminal by turning off a power supply to a disabled state only for a fixed time when the mobile terminal can not execute communication, and setting up the standstill time in accordance with a communication disabled time. CONSTITUTION:An intermittent receiving timing signal formed by an intermittent receiving power supply setting part 6 is outputted to an AND circuit 7 and the receiving level of a signal received by a receiving part 3 is judged by a level judging part 4. When the receiving level does not satisfies a prescribed value even when the intermittent receiving timing signal rises, a control part 5 outputs a standstill time setting signal to the AND circuit 7. The circuit 7 finds out AND between the intermittent receiving timing signal and the standstill time setting signal and sends the AND operation result to a power supply switching part 8. The switching part 8 receives the AND result from the circuit 7 and drives or stops the power supply. Thereby power consumption on a stand-by state can be reduced.
