PURPOSE:To obtain a cold storage system for efficiently storing cold by using a latent heat storage material using latent heat generated upon phase change. CONSTITUTION:A cold storage system comprises a cold storage tank 2 for storing a latent heat storage material 1 of emulsion (suspension at the time of storing cold) in which a dispersion phase (paraffin, fats and oils, olefin, etc.) having a higher melting point than that of a continuous phase (ethylene glycol aqueous solution, propylene glycol aqueous solution, water, etc.) is dispersed in the continuous phase and particle size of the dispersion phase is in a range of 0.2-50mum, a pump 3 and a tube 4 to be used to convey the material 1, and an open system heat exchanger 5 for equivalently lowering the material 1 to be mounted above the tank 2 to be heat exchanged with the flowing-down material 1. |
