PURPOSE:To provide the resolution converting method which enables high-speed conversion with simple configuration. CONSTITUTION:Source image data equivalent to three lines are stored in line buffers 3, 4 and 5, and converted image data equivalent to two lines are stored in line buffers 6 and 7. The 12 pieces of bit data read from these line buffers are read in an address converting register 2, a converting table 1 is accessed, and the converted data of converted picture elements are read out. The converted data are written in the line buffer 6 and transferred to a bit '9.' The data of a bit '0' are transferred to a bit '2,' the data of a bit '3' are transferred to a bit '5,' the data of a bit '6' are transferred to a bit '8' and the data of a bit '10' are transferred to a bit '11.' Then, the data read from the line buffers are written in the other bits, and the conversion of the next picture element is performed. |
