摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To provide the reverse DCT arithmetic unit which can reduce the number of times of operation. CONSTITUTION:This arithmetic unit is provided with a matrix priority deciding device 10 for deciding which is executed first in the row direction or the column direction at the time of executing an operation by replacing a two-dimensional reverse discrete cosine conversion with a one-dimensional reverse discrete cosine conversion, a one-dimensional DCT computing element 11 which is connected to the matrix priority deciding device 10, detects an input element of a zero element and executes a products-sum operation, based on a result of detection, an intermediate result memory 12 which is connected to the one-dimensional DCT computing element 11 and stores a result of operation of the one- dimensional DCT computing element, and a one-dimensional DCT computing element 13 which is connected to the intermediate result memory 12 and the matrix priority deciding device 10, detects the input element of the zero element and executes the products-sum operation, based on the result of detection.</p>
