<p>PURPOSE:To suppress the loss of data at a minimum by protecting a physical sector even when power supply is interrupted while writing data in an external storage device such as a hard disk. CONSTITUTION:When the write of data is instructed from a controller 11 through a disk interface 11c to an external storage device 15 for the write unit of a prescribed length, a disk controller 15b writes the write instructed data of the prescribed length in a hard disk 15a for the unit of one time of access. When AC power supply is interrupted during this write, it is detected by a power supply interruption detection part 16 and informed of a mechanism controller 13, and power supply OFF interruption is generated. With this power supply OFF interruption, the external storage device 15 identifies the reset state of the interface, writes the data for the unit of one time of access under writing at present in the hard disk and completes the write operation.</p> |
