The tool includes a hollow shaft (2) receiving a number of nuts (E) in a row in a tubular internal space, where they are retained by a retractable end cap (7) which engages the outermost nut. A drive mechanism (3) selectively rotates at least the outer end portion of the shaft when the endmost nut is engaged with a screw etc. A fluid supply system (4) is connected to the inner end of the shaft to bias the nuts contained inside the shaft towards the outer end. The end cap is associated with a cylindrical sleeve (6) extending the outer end of the tube, and the tube is supported for free rotation relative to a fixed locking sleeve (9) towards its inner end. ADVANTAGE - Rapid, secure location of nuts and automated fixing, reducing time for assembly of components etc.
