PURPOSE:To provide the map preparation supporting device permitting a user to easily prepare complicate map. CONSTITUTION:When a map preparation function is started by depressing a 'map preparation' key 16a on a keyboard 16, a CPU 10 reads map preparation supporting information from an area 31 of a RAM 11 displaying a main menu on a display device 18 based on the map preparation supporting information. By selection the map preparation by means of the main menu, a guidance showing the concrete preparation procedure required for the map preparation is successively displayed in query formation under the control of the CPU 1O. According to the response to the guidance, roads and signs are prepared. |
