The invention specifies an apparatus for the combined utilization of used water and waste heat from waste water, the apparatus comprising 2 concentric chambers 2, 6 each with a heat exchanger 5, 7, connected in series. The outer chamber 2 has a small volume. Waste water is admitted via a lye pump 11, via a riser 14 and an annular distributor line 15, into the outer chamber 2. The water flow within the chambers takes place by means of riser pipes 8, this resulting in a countercurrent principle. A second lye pump 18 pumps cooled used water from the inner chamber 6 into the flushing cistern of the WC. Located in the riser 14 are 2 changeover valves 23, 24 by means of which hot waste water from showering can be directed into the washing machine for the main washing cycle. A valve 25 with a linkage 27 and float 26 is provided in order to prevent a lack of water. The preheated fresh water is fed to the boiler, the dishwasher and the kitchen. This arrangement results in the following possible savings: 75% energy for hot-water preparation, 35% energy and 15% water for washing laundry, 25% energy for the dishwasher and 10% energy for cooking.

|
