<p>PURPOSE: To obtain an insulating coating removal device for glass fiber cable which is provided with a rotatable insulating coating cutting blade and a centering device which is placed between the insulating coating cutting blade and the terminal of a cable in a work position. CONSTITUTION: The centering device is placed very close to the insulating coating cutting blade and acquires the torque, which acts on a cable 31 whose insulating coating should be removed, and holds the cable 31 so that torsion and damage of the cable 31 can be avoided. With respect to an implementation mode of the insulating coating removal machine, a driving device is saved by a means which inserts the cable 31 to internal work positions of insulating coating removal stations 1, 2, and 3 by one manipulator 35 from the side, the new insulating coating removal station 3 which pulls out the coating layer of the optical fiber cable, a new cable stopper device 80, and plural insulating coating removal stations 1, 2, and 3 provided on one slider.</p> |
