PURPOSE: To obtain an improved means flexibly defining operation processing in a data processing system by defining an operation managing file including an operation basket definition, a route definition and a judging point definition and route-designating an operation package with operation package identification. CONSTITUTION: The operation managing file including the operation basket definition 740, the route definition 715 and the collecting point definitions 721/722 is defined and this operation managing file is stored in the memory of a data processor. A corresponding operation package number is assigned to a primary document inputted to the data processor. The route definition 715 route-specifies an operation package with operation package identification to a first operation basket, and operation basket definitions 740/745/746 execute operation. The route definition 715 route-designates an operation package to a collecting point. The collecting point definitions 721/722 release the operation package from the collecting point in response to an event signal.
