<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a better smoothing image by switching a smoothing system in accordance with an image part to be processed at the time of smoothing interpolation as line density conversion in a facsimile equipment or a printer. CONSTITUTION:This system is provided with a window memory part 4 of an (m) line (n) column window with the reference picture element of white/black binarized data in a center, a means (a changing point arithmetic operation part 5) counting the changing points of data in the window memory part 4 and a selector part 9 switching the smoothing interpolation system in accordance with the number of the changing points. Consequently, the smoothing image of either a character part or a dummy intermediate gradation part also attains a good quality by this system.</p> |
